Hi. Hello, this is Paul Green from the MSP Marketing Edge. A very quick update for you to accompany December 2020’s content. I’ve only got three things to tell you this month. And the first of them is we’ve made another tiny little tweak to the way that we have arranged the materials. It’s more about finishing off what we started last month and just organising it so that whenever you’re looking for materials, it all makes perfect sense and it all marries up.
So for example, on the page where you can download the content and on the one-click download, and now on the implementation checklist, all the numbers match up. So number one is always the guide across all of those things. Number two is the guide promotional tools, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I’m trying to make it easier for you to find the things that you’re looking for and to make the most of those things quickly.
The second update for you this month is that we now have an option for using the videos with burned in captions. So you may have seen this around the web and obviously we’re offering this as an option. You’re not losing anything. This is an extra file. There’s an extra MP4 and an extra embedded file that’s available to you. So you can choose now to have that with the burned in captions. Because most video players, they have the option for the captions to be there, but often people have to have them switched on and it’s increasingly becoming best practice. I don’t think we’re quite there yet, but more and more, you’re seeing that when people are showing videos, they’re just having those captions burned in. So we use rev.com for all of our captions. That’s been an option for them for a couple of months. I’ve waited for it to stabilise. And we will now do that every single week and every single month with the videos where you’ll have the option of those burned in captions. And that’s available for you now for December’s content.
And then the third thing to tell you about is not really an update for this month, it’s just to say, I have just signed off on our plan for next year, and I am so excited because there are so many secret weapons that we have got lined up for you next year. I’ve alluded to this in previous videos. We’re not going to be adding a huge amount of new content next year. I think we’ve reached a point now where the amount of content is good. It’s a very high quality. We’re at, I think, it’s more than 320 or 330 files a month that we’re delivering. So we don’t want to expand that dramatically, as you can imagine. Because it’s quite a big organisational burden and we want to make sure we get it right.
So we are now, for next year, we’re looking at what extra can we give you to help you? So for example, there will be some tools next year, which you can use when you’re selling to your end clients, to help you to help them understand why they should be buying into specific security issues or stacks or various things. So we have three absolute planned out secret weapons for you next year, and there’s a couple of other options that we’re looking into as well. If we can provide you with a secret weapon every two to three months next year, I’ll be very, very happy.
Now I’ll release the details of these as they’re sort of being planned and as we know we can deliver them. There’s one in particular that we’re working on right now, which we hope to be able to launch for you in January next year. And as soon as I’ve got concrete details of that, you will be the first to know. But I want you to know, we are not resting on our laurels next year. We’ve got loads and loads of extra help for you. And of course, all of this will be a part of your membership. The cost isn’t going up. There’ll be no upsells or anything like that. It will all be part of your membership, going to keep adding stuff in.
