This app has changed my productivity dramatically in the last few weeks. Now I create content at the speed of speech.
Wait. Don't click away just because I'm talking about AI tools.
I know you don't need another AI tool, and I felt the same way three weeks ago.
But this tool has made such a difference to my life. Not just my work life but my personal life. And I figured you might like a little bit of that.
I first heard about Wispr Flow from Marcus Sheridan, Author of Endless Customers (side note, we are partnering with Marcus on a pricing estimator tool for MSPs. I'll be launching that in the next few weeks).
It's a dictation tool. And at first glance, you don't need it because you already have dictation built into your PC and your phone. But this dictation tool is something completely different.
First of all, it's smart. You can talk to it naturally, so you don't have that stilted dictation you get with the traditional dictation tools built into your devices.
You don't have to spell things out really carefully or talk at a slow pace. I'm dictating this right now and I'm talking at my usual pace, 162 words per minute according to Wispr Flow.

I can't type at 162 WPM. So, now I'm replying to people and creating content at the speed of speech, rather than the speed of my slow sausage fingers.
It also has a dictionary where you can record your preferences. And it learns from you over time, recognising your patterns, edits and custom phrases.
Let me give you a specific example. I have a colleague called Ami and she spells that with an i in her name, not a y. I've only had to tell Wispr Flow that once. And now every time I dictate a message to Ami, which is about 10 times a day, it gets her name right.
That's not just on my laptop; it's on all my devices. Because Wispr Flow works on EVERYTHING. You make a correction on one device, and it automatically applies that correction in the future on your other devices.
Here's a quick video I did showing you Wispr Flow in action:

There's one more huge benefits of Wispr Flow...
Do you have one of those annoying friends who seems incapable of typing anything and instead sends you long voice notes all the time? Pushing the burden of listening to the message onto you?
Yep, I have those friends too (I'm looking at you, Ian Luckett). And I've been gradually introducing them to Wispr Flow...

PS I dictated the whole of this blog post using Wispr Flow. It took me about a quarter of the time it usually takes me to write this.
PPS No I'm not an affiliate and have definitely not been paid to recommend them 😃
